What is a Doula?
-
A doula is a helpful companion who can help support you before, during and after childbirth.
-
A doula can support you both physically and emotionally.
-
Doulas provide birth education, assist you with becoming a self-advocate with your care team and may help you to access other resources.
-
Your doula may help you get to know your baby, how to feed your baby, settle them and generally care for them.
What is Therapy......the REAL definition
-
Confidential discussions about life challenges and how best to mange problems such as relationships, childhood trauma, past experiences, and difficult situations.
-
A safe space to express your TRUE self and difficult feelings/emotions.
-
Therapist are not “life coaches” or only give advice. Instead, a good therapist “go deep” with you to better understand how to move you from being “stuck” to moving forward in life.
-
Most people complete approximately 6-months to 1-year of sessions, once a week or twice a month (every other week). Therapy sessions typically last approximately 45-50 minutes. Doula + Therapy = Peace of Mind
