Therapy Services
What is Therapy?
-
Structured discussions about life challenges and how best to solve problems like relationships, childhood trauma, past experiences, and difficult situations.
-
Most people complete approximately 1 year of sessions, once a week or twice a month (every other week).
-
Sessions typically last approximately 45-50mins.
-
A safe space to express your TRUE self.
The Role of Therapist:
-
Therapists may guide you to talk about your feelings, thoughts, choices, and actions, and how they affect each other. Therapists discuss topics like relationships, childhood, past experiences, and difficult situations. Putting your feelings into words can help you learn more about yourself, deal with difficult emotions, and build more good feelings
-
Therapy sessions can include a variety of activities, such as:
-
Talking about difficult issues without judgement.
-
Crying/emotions.
-
Mediation & deep breathing.
-
Therapists may teach you about emotions, coping skills, and facing fears. They may also help you identify inaccurate or harmful thought patterns, and understand how those thoughts affect your emotions and behavior.
-
Therapists may give you homework to complete between sessions, such as journaling, exercising, or setting up an online dating profile. You can share your progress with your therapist during your next session.
